An interesting fact:  The majority of Interview Success Formula customers are over the age of 50. (Many of them are in their late 60s and, a few, in their 70s.) Barely a day passes when we don't hear the following:

"I feel disappointed and discouraged, and I'm almost ready to give up. I've paid a professional to rewrite my resume. My husband says I come across as confident and professional in phone interviews. I'm doing everything right. But still... nobody will give me a job. I know it's because of my age."

If this sounds like something you might say, I'd like to share a few words of advice that you really need to hear. A few truths about the job search.

Yes, ageism exists. It's a very real thing.

And, YES — ageism is almost definitely working against you, and depriving you of job opportunities that, in all fairness, you probably deserve.

However, here's what else I can tell you:

Ageism is NOT an insurmountable barrier. In fact, it's not really a barrier at all. It's more like a form of "societal baggage" that slows you down.  You may have to work harder than younger folks.

You may have to prepare more thoroughly, to put in more work in understanding what hiring managers are looking for and connecting your unique talents and experience to that. Especially since you probably want a higher salary than most of the younger candidates, which must be justified.

You may need to put more irons in the fire and experience more setbacks and disappointments before the telephone call you deserve happens.  But it does happen in the end. If you keep at it.

And I have hundreds of messages from other Interview Success Formula customers and Daily Success Boost readers like you to prove it — mature, experienced professionals who, at some point, were ready to give up.

I'm so glad they didn't.  And you'll be so glad you didn't, as well if you keep grinding away.  Always remember — you're just one solid interview away from landing your dream job. That's all it takes for your life to change overnight.  If you're ready to give your job search the old college try it deserves, and leave no stone unturned in your interview preparation, join Interview Success Formula today. It's the advantage every mature candidate needs.
