Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.

Proverbs 22:6

There is something special about a mother who leads with both excellence and compassion. Today we honor an extraordinary mother, educator, and leader, Dr. Nedra Clark, whose dedication to students, families, and education continues to impact lives throughout the community.

As a mother and educational leader, Dr. Clark understands the importance of nurturing, guiding, and preparing the next generation for success both inside and outside the classroom. Her leadership reflects not only professional excellence, but the heart, patience, and wisdom that motherhood often requires.

Dr. Clark has been selected by the Parkway Board of Education as the next principal of Northeast Middle School, a role she will officially begin on July 1. With more than twenty years of experience serving in middle and high schools, she brings a wealth of knowledge, leadership, and heart to this new position.

For the past eleven years, Dr. Clark has served as an assistant principal within the Parkway School District, currently at South Middle School and previously at Southwest Middle School. Throughout her career, she has focused on supporting students, strengthening school culture, building relationships with families, and helping create environments where children can thrive academically, emotionally, and socially.

Before entering administration, she served as an English teacher at Webster Groves High School, Riverview Gardens High School, and Vashon High School in St. Louis, helping shape and inspire young minds through education and mentorship.

Dr. Clark holds a doctorate in Educational Leadership from Maryville University, a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Lindenwood University, a master’s degree in Multidisciplinary Studies from Webster University, and a bachelor’s degree in English from Jackson State University.

Dr. Clark shared that she is honored and excited to begin this new chapter with the Northeast Middle School community, expressing her commitment to partnership, growth, and student success. Her leadership reflects a deep understanding that education is not only about academics, but about relationships, encouragement, and creating spaces where students feel valued and supported. Dr. Nedra Clark represents the kind of leadership that strengthens schools, families, and communities alike.

She leads with wisdom.

She leads with compassion.

She leads with purpose.

Her years of service in education reflect a commitment to helping students succeed while supporting teachers, families, and school communities along the way. As both a mother and educational leader, she understands the importance of guidance, patience, and creating opportunities for growth. Her work reminds us that strong schools are built through meaningful relationships and a genuine investment in people.

Her leadership reflects excellence.

Her work reflects service.

Her life reflects impact.

Every child deserves someone who believes in their potential. Through mothers and leaders like Dr. Nedra Clark, students are encouraged to grow, families are supported, and communities are strengthened.
