"Kingdom Women Leading in Business In 2025"

God is calling for a return to excellence in 2025, specifically for those whom He has blessed with talents, gifts, and skills. Proverbs 22:29 tells us to look for those in business who are excellent at their work and not only to look at them but also to look at their positions. Leaders must lead with excellence. 

 “Do you see a man who excels in his work?

He will stand before kings;

He will not stand before unknown men.” ~ Proverbs 22:29 (NKJV)

Unfortunately, our society has slowly come to devalue excellence and defraud those who demand it. However, it doesn’t remove this biblical principle that precedes leadership and audiences with kings and decision-makers. Notice that the text does not suggest the accumulation of awards, quid pro quo, acquired followers, amassed likes, or dishonest gain. Being a child of the Kingdom of God creates an unfair advantage that we call “favor.” But even God’s favor must be handled and worn properly. We should not expect God to promote us or businesses when we fail to operate within excellence. As a businesswoman seeking to represent the Kingdom of God, we should first seek God and then excellence. 

A familiar text, Proverbs 31 makes clear descriptions of a woman of virtue. While the text is commonly referred to when speaking of marriage and the duties of a wife, the wisdom of this Proverbs transcends marital status and leaves great clues of a Kingdom Businesswoman. 

As we move further into the first quarter of 2025, here are six tips from this passage to incorporate into your business as a Kingdom Woman: 

1. UNDERSTAND YOUR WORTH: v.10 “For her worth is far above rubies.” v.18 “She perceives that her merchandise is good.” 

Operating in excellence requires you to understand your personal and intellectual worth as well as the valuation of your business. Tip: Do not undersell yourself or your products/services. Excellent Kingdom Women lead knowing who they are. 

2. PRACTICE FINANCIAL STEWARDSHIP: v.16 “She considers a field and buys it;

From her profits, she plants a vineyard.” 

Operating in excellence requires you to practice financial stewardship. Currency is a powerful tool in leadership. Look for ways to practice stewardship throughout the year. Tip: Reinvesting back into your business will position you to take full advantage of upcoming opportunities. 

3. PARTICIPATE IN PHILANTHROPY: v.20 “She extends her hand to the poor,

Yes, she reaches out her hands to the needy.” 

Operating in excellence requires you to extend beyond yourself and your gain. Giving signals the compassion and obligation of a great leader. Tip: Align your giving efforts with issues in the community. Become a leading giver this year by starting small and increasing your impact over time. 

4. OPERATE WITH DILIGENCE: v.27 “She watches over the ways of her household,

And does not eat the bread of idleness.” 

Operating in excellence requires diligence. Leaders cannot lead from behind but must build teams and watch over the effectiveness of that which they lead. Tip: As you spend time building your team, remain watchful of those you place on your team. Demonstrating productivity will encourage an atmosphere where idleness is unexpected. 

5. PRIORITIZE PHYSICAL WELLNESS: v.17 “She girds herself with strength, And strengthens her arms.” 

Operating in excellence includes prioritizing our physical wellness. You cannot lead without a healthy body that houses your greatness. Physical fitness does not equal extreme fitness; avoid comparison. Tip: Make small adjustments to your daily routine to include physical fitness. Walk further, stand longer, stretch more frequently, add a new veggie or protein to every meal, and treat yourself in moderation. 

6. ABOVE ALL, SEEK WISDOM: v.26 “She opens her mouth with wisdom,

And on her tongue is the law of kindness.” 

Operating in wisdom is the most important component of business leadership. Wisdom will guide you to speak, not speak, and/or choose your words during certain business decisions. Wisdom is a keeper. Tip: Leave room in your plans for wisdom to make edits, suggestions, and eliminations in your business. You don’t have to go it alone; invite wisdom early on and often. 

Lastly, give yourself grace. Leading a business is difficult and can be a lonely task. You will make mistakes, you will get it wrong, you will fail to launch great ideas, and you may even lose money. Remember this: failure only happens when you quit. Pivot, pause, but whatever you do in 2025, do not quit.
