I am so excited to release the book and toolkit book of Employed!

I will always remember when I found myself in the unemployment circle.

Yes, I was in church and very active. There was so much shame in being unemployed that it was almost kept as a secret. Every Sunday getting up to go to church, enjoying the service but leaving every Sunday with that same hole in my heart I came with that morning. What am I going to do Istill have no work is what I left out the door hearing echoing in my mind.

Coming to the place I believed that I could really bring all my problems to, but finding no help was almost as devastating as facing unemployment. Going through the church services, greeting individuals and speaking into my neighbor’s life with that secret was so overbearing. I often sat wondering why anyone can’t help me here. All this love I am getting and I all I really want is a job!

Well, not long after (but longer than I wanted it to be) I found a job. That draining journey sparked a passion in me. It was worth it because I know now that God was developing me to always have compassion for this need in the church.

Amazing how God works His plan in your life. Since that time, I have served countless individuals in finding gainful employment. God placed me on a television show and radio show to be sure people would know the many opportunities available.

God allowed me to work in numerous positions of workforce development and I am certain of the possibilities of gainful employment for those that are seeking, most of all I am certain that agencies want to partner and help in this area.

The church embodies hope, a very invaluable resource one must have when navigating in this journey. The agencies have multiple resources required for success in the job and corporations have so much to offer.

It is a great way to fulfill the scripture in Acts that explains, the church made sure that everyone in their house had no need. It is with intent that Employed connects the church, community, and corporations to erase and eradicate unemployment and underemployment.
