No Father Left Behind: Restoring Families, Redefining Fatherhood
"Shaquille Armstrong" Founder & President
In a world where the role of fathers is often overlooked or underestimated, one Southern Illinois nonprofit is working to change that narrative. No Father Left Behind, Inc. stands as a beacon of hope and restoration for fathers, families, and communities across the region.
Founded by Shaquille Armstrong, the organization operates with a simple yet powerful mission: “Where Fatherhood is Celebrated.” Their goal is to ensure that every father — no matter his past or circumstance — is seen, supported, and celebrated for the vital role he plays in shaping strong families and thriving communities.
At the heart of No Father Left Behind are three signature events that honor the diverse faces of fatherhood:
⦁ Father’s Day Celebration – honoring fathers who lead their families with love and commitment.
⦁ Honoring the Man Who Stepped Up – recognizing stepfathers, mentors, and father figures who pour into the lives of children not biologically their own.
⦁ Saluting Young Fathers – uplifting young dads who are rewriting the narrative and showing what responsible, loving fatherhood looks like.
This fall, the organization will host one of its most inspiring events — Saluting Young Fathers — on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at the Stonewolf Banquet Center, 1195 Stonewolf Trail, Fairview Heights, Illinois. The event will include a social hour at 2 p.m. followed by a ceremony at 3 p.m., featuring music, food, and celebration. It’s an opportunity to honor young fathers who are breaking generational cycles, leading with love, and showing up every day for their families.
But Armstrong’s vision goes beyond celebration — it’s also about transformation. Through the Guide-Father Program, volunteers mentor and support incarcerated fathers, helping them rebuild relationships with their children and prepare for successful reentry. The program offers parental training, core development, and individual counseling designed to foster healing, responsibility, and reconciliation.
“Our mission is to foster and restore broken relationships between incarcerated fathers and their children,” Armstrong explains. “When fathers are restored, families are strengthened — and when families are strong, communities thrive.”
No Father Left Behind operates on the belief that it takes a village not only to raise a child, but also to restore a father. “Many of these men have been written off by society,” Armstrong says, “but we are here to remind them that they still have a future worth fighting for and a family worth returning to.”
With gratitude, determination, and faith, No Father Left Behind, Inc. continues to build that village — one father, one family, one community at a time.
